Top 3 Career Strategies: Finding the Hidden Gems

Discover the top three strategies that lead to success in finding work after graduation. Based on student inquiries in career counselling in the last four years, this 30-minute presentations gives you a practical framework and resources to start the search on your own terms.



12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

Launch Your Career Panel Discussion

Join the team at Dalhousie University to learn about various strategies you can use to launch your career post-graduation. Featuring a panel of recent alumni who have faced various challenges entering the labour market and are now thriving in their careers, this session will teach you tips and tricks about how to navigate the transition from school to work.



1:00 pm – 1:30 pm

Post Graduate Work Permit Information Session

Are you an international student who is completing your degree or certificates soon or who has recently completed your degree or certificates? To work in Canada after you graduate you need a work permit. After you graduate from your program of studies, you may be eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) to work temporarily in Canada. Join Shanshan Luo, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, for a post graduate work permit information session. This Information session will cover the following topics:

• What is a post-graduation work permit

• Who can apply

• How to apply

• Validity period of post graduate work permits

• Documents needed to apply for a post graduate work permit

• Q&A period
